At Home With You Card
Look at that opening door! That is what sold me on purchasing this set of stamps and framelits. And the fact that Stampin' UP! included objects to decorate the door or the door step from each season. That makes the stamps versatile all year round.
We recently sold our house in Texas and moved to Florida for my husband's job and I made this card for the new homeowners. Buying a house can be stressful in many ways but after it's all over and you step inside your new living space, the feeling is amazing! This is mine now, wow. Tranquil tide is my background and the door is stamped with basic blank ink then cut from soft suede cardstock. The Wood Textures Designer Series Paper was perfect for the ground part-I was picturing a front deck when I chose to use that.
All the coloring is done with a blender pen-ONE OF ALL MY FAVORITE TOOLS! Images are stamped in basic black, which is a must otherwise the blender pen could smudge or smear the image. Then you just dab your blender pen on the color you want to use and color as it were a marker. To see a blender pen video going into more how to use detail click here. All paper parts were layered together with adhesive, just be careful to not glue your door shut!
