The BLOGinning.. . .

blogging on patio

So here we go with the blog beginning (hence the BLOGinning, get it now?! Goofy, right?). I thought I make my first post a little about me. Blog posts tend to reflect current moods, so when the writer is exuberant, sassy, blah, frustrated or just goofy, that blog post will reflect that. At least that is what I think will happen with me as a blogger but I am new at this so perhaps there will be a different feeling once I get going.

I am blogging from my back patio today with my beverage of choice (see photo) and yes, it's in a mason jar, and not because I am a rustic farm girl, although I daydream about that sometimes, I am in tropical southwest Florida, USA. My glass is a mason jar because I am CLUMSY! There you have it new friends, I am clumsy and I have found that my mason jar is much more stable for a gal like that me who likes to do stuff AND drink something delicious some evenings.

The beginning of this blog story actually starts with the beginning of my website that has been in production and is now ready for public consumption or moderate browsing; whatever you feel like today. I wanted a place to connect my crafting with others publicly since I am already connecting in person with others around me, the next step was connecting to other not around me. Then blooms the website, which had a blog feature that I just couldn't have said "Nah" I don't want that part, but I left it on the editing page and it just kept tickling my interest. Like it was saying "hey, try me," so I am obliging to that interest. You see I love words, always have but I subconscious censor (that negative voice inside) tells me "your are not a writer." But we are all writers in a sense because we all write in some way, so I listened to the creator voice inside me instead and it said, "Go ahead and give it a try!"

My blog will be about crafting. Mainly cards and paper crafts because that is my favorite form of crafting right now but other kinds of crafts also. And since I am into Stampin' Up! right now, it will be a lot about that too. There will be info to get supplies I am using but don't forget that you can add your own spin on the craft I am demonstrating! Don't underestimate yourself and ability to create. As always, I will try to connect with you the reader and fellow crafter. Drop me an email in the contact me tab of the website if you have questions or comments.
